Rustic Projects > Rustic Bar Project

Randy really liked this project. The client wanted a rustic look with cool details that would make this house addition a one-of-a-kind with lots of “WOW-factor”.

There were already walnut beams at the ceiling/rafters when we started. We added the hickory-looking beams under the catwalk, gave the oak stairs a custom look with walnut caps and trim on the newels, assembled the white oak posts and beams seemingly supporting the catwalk, and laid, sanded, and finished the hickory floors with a walnut border accent.

Other custom pieces included helping the client to finish the wagon wheels on his custom gun/wheel chandelier, custom oak batwing doors with circle-cut panels for the lavatory, a built-in linen cabinet for the bath with door panels matching the batwing doors, and the centerpiece of furniture…a custom rustic bar and back bar.

The bar itself was a large white oak piece with rustic, circle-cut saw panels and kick plates, curly white oak tops with inlaid walnut butterflies,  and a matching back bar with mirrored back and glass doors.
A very fun, rewarding project and the client was ecstatic!!!
